Nebuta parade at Matsuri Tsukuba
Aug 28, 2010 From: kouichirou.eto@g...
Hi all,
This is Kouichirou Eto. I'm living in Tsukuba.
Usually, Tsukuba is a very quiet city,
but Tsukuba becomes very noisy city at two days in a year.
"Matsuri Tsukuba" is the largest summer festival in Tsukuba.
The festival will be held from 8/28(Sat), today, to 8/29(Sun).
The highlight of the event is "Nebuta".
Nebuta is a kind of statue built with paper and wireframe.
It's a cultural heritage in Aomori, north side of Japan,
but Tsukuba city rent them from Aomori.
